By browsing kene.World, placing an order, or bidding in one of our auctions, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the store. We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here when you place your order.

kene.World is operated by the trader named in our Legal notice, established in the Netherlands. You can reach us at steven@psychedelic.science. kene.World is the storefront of a partnership with the Fundación Kene Rao in Peru.

We sell handmade Shipibo-Konibo textiles, apparel, ceramics and related objects. Because each piece is made by hand, natural variation in colour, weave, size and finish is part of its character and is not a fault. Product images are as accurate as we can make them, but screens vary. The kené designs are used under the cultural and licensing framework of the Fundación Kene Rao.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A binding contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation or dispatch the goods. If we cannot accept your order — for example an item is unavailable, mispriced, or fails our checks — we will tell you and refund any payment in full. We may refuse or cancel orders at our reasonable discretion before a contract is formed.

Prices are shown in euro (EUR) and include VAT where it applies, unless stated otherwise. Delivery costs and any options are shown separately before you confirm and pay. If a price or description is obviously wrong, we are not obliged to honour it; we will contact you to confirm or cancel. Customs duties or import taxes may apply to deliveries outside the EU — see Shipping.

Payment is taken securely at checkout through Shopify Payments and the providers shown there. We do not store your full card details. Title to the goods passes to you once we have received full payment and dispatched them.

We deliver as described on our Shipping page. Unless we agree otherwise, we will deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is formed. For consumers, the risk of loss or damage passes to you when you (or someone you nominate) take physical possession of the goods.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason. How to do it, the effects, and the limited exceptions (for example genuinely personalised or made-to-order pieces) are set out in full on our Returns & Right of Withdrawal page. You can also use our withdrawal form to tell us.

As a consumer you are entitled, by law, to goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality. Under EU rules you have at least a two-year legal guarantee against lack of conformity. If an item is faulty or not as described, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund. This is separate from, and in addition to, the right of withdrawal. Some pieces are sold through timed or live auctions (for example our ICPR Amsterdam auction). Auction-specific rules — how bidding works, increments, reserves, the close, and how the winner pays — are published on the relevant auction page and apply in addition to these terms. A winning bid is a binding commitment to buy. Where the law gives consumers a right of withdrawal for an online auction, we honour it; we will tell you on the auction page if a specific format affects that right.

The kené designs are the cultural heritage of the Shipibo-Konibo people and are protected through the work of the Fundación Kene Rao. Buying a piece does not transfer any rights in the designs. The text, images, layout and code of this website are owned by us or our partners and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Please use the store lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt it, place fraudulent orders or bids, scrape it at scale, or infringe anyone's rights. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer resident in another EU/EEA country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
